An RCIED bomb jammer is a type of electronic countermeasure device designed to prevent the detonation of a radio-controlled improvised explosive device (RCIED) by jamming the radio signals being sent to it. RCIED jammers are used by military and law enforcement personnel to protect personnel and assets from the threat posed by RCIEDs.
RCIED bomb jammers work by emitting radio signals in the same frequency range as the RCIED signals, thus blocking or “jamming” the RCIED signals and preventing them from being received by the explosive device. This jamming of the RCIED signals prevents the detonation of the device and can provide an effective measure of protection against RCIEDs.
